വയലിൻ വായിക്കുന്നൊരാളുടെ

പെയ്തൊഴിയുന്ന മഴപോലെ
മുള്ളുചീളുകളാണ്.

അപ്പോഴടിക്കുന്ന കാറ്റിന്റെ
കണ്ണീർ മണമാണ്.

അപ്പോൾ നടുക്കുന്ന മിന്നലിന്റെ
മരണവെളിച്ചമാണ്.

ഉറങ്ങിയ കൺമണിക്ക് ചുറ്റും
നേർത്തൊഴുകുന്നൊരു
രാഗലാളനയാണ്.

പ്രിയതമയെ പൊതിഞ്ഞു നിൽക്കും
ഹൃദയനൂലാണ്.

നട്ടുച്ചക്ക് പൊടുന്നനേ
അസ്തമിക്കുന്ന സൂര്യൻ
വായിച്ചു നിർത്തിയ
യാത്രാമൊഴിയാണ്.

നിന്നെ പിൻവിളിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത
ഭാഷ ചങ്കിൽ കുരുങ്ങി
പിടഞ്ഞെഴുന്നേറ്റുപോകുന്നു...

കാതിലുണ്ട്
ആകാശഗംഗക്കള
പ്രാണൻ കൊണ്ട് മയക്കുന്ന
അതേ മന്ത്രഗീതം…

like a casual rain drained soon;

of the wind blowing;

lightning;

wearily flowing
around the little tot asleep.
heart’s thread
wrapping the darling.

the farewell words of
a sun abruptly setting in the noon.

the dialect
that can't call you back,
trapped in the throat,
shakes off and departs

in the ear
there's the same hymn
that enchants the milky-way
with the soul
